Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) -
Echinacea is popularly believed to be an immunostimulator , stimulating the body's non-specific immune system and warding off infections. A study commonly used to support that belief is a 2007 meta-analysis in The Lancet Infectious Diseases. The studies pooled in the meta-analysis used different types of echinacea, different parts of the plant, and various dosages.
Propolis Extract - Propolis may show powerful local antibiotic and antifungal properties.
Studies also indicate that it may be effective in treating skin burns.
Propolis also exhibits immunomodulatory effects.
Propolis' use in inhibiting tumorigenesis has been studied in mice in Japan.
Propolis is a subject of recent dentistry research, since there is some evidence that propolis may actively protect against caries and other forms of oral disease, due to its antimicrobial properties. Propolis can also be used to treat canker sores. Its use in canal debridement for endodontic procedures has been explored in Brazil.
Cat's claw (Uncaria tormentosa) -
The indigenous peoples of South and Central America have used U. tormentosa for medicinal purposes for two thousand years or more. It is often added to Ayahuasca. Researchers have investigated the use of the plant by the Asháninka tribe of Peru, who use the plant as a general health tonic, contraceptive , anti-inflammatory agent for the gastrointestinal tract, and as a treatment for diarrhea , rheumatic disorders , acne , diabetes , cancer and diseases of the urinary tract. In Brazilian traditional medicine it is used against dengue to reduce inflammation
Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) - This is an adaptogen which has a wide range of health benefits attributed to its uses. Currently most of the research to support the medicinal use of Eleutherococcus senticosus is in Russia or Korean. The herb contains eleutherosides, triterpenoid, saponins which are lipophilic and which can fit into hormone receptors. Supporters of E. senticosus as medicine claim it possesses a variety of medicinal properties, such as: increased endurance, memory improvement, anti-inflammatory, immunogenic, chemoprotective, radiological protection.
